The results from the Second Annual "Full Tummies/Full Hearts" March Food Donation Drive are in! We are pleased to announce that the drive accrued $1,000.00 in cash donations and 324 food items!!! All proceeds are being split among four locations: NEWCAP (Crandon), New Hope Shelter (Crandon), the Goodman/Armstrong Creek Food Pantry (Armstrong Creek), and Saint John's Christian Food Pantry (Townsend).

The Laona Area Chamber of Commerce (LACC) has been presented with an exciting opportunity from Wisconsin Public Television (WPT) that will enable us to showcase the communities we serve in a unique and groundbreaking way. This opportunity comes by way of WPT’s 44th annual fundraising auction and its first-ever, online-only event!
Taking place May 1-14, WPT's annual auction will bring together donors, sponsors, and volunteers with a loyal group eager to support WPT. Auction donations from chambers of commerce can showcase local businesses through packages that may include restaurant gift cards, lodging, tickets to unique experiences, etc., and local business packages are popular auction items! They also offer chambers like LACC the opportunity to bring further benefit to its members because packages include detailed item descriptions, photos, and links to donor websites on the WPT auction portal.That means an added boost to marketing what you have to offer with minimal impact to your bottom line.
There are four donation levels available to us, and LACC would very much like to ‘go for the gold’ with Tier 4 ($1,500+ value) which includes:
• Listing live on auction.wpt.org for 14 days
• Item description and unlimited images displayed on Auction website
• Link to donor website on Auction website
• 1-Day Feature on the Auction website homepage
• 1-Time Feature in an Auction promotional email (sent daily throughout the auction)
• Inclusion in the “Showcase Features” on-air promotional spot
As one of LACC’s members, we’d very much like to offer you the opportunity to showcase your business by way of adding an item to one of several promotional packages for the auction.This could be a gift certificate for food, drink or lodging, or gifting a product or service that your business offers. We respectfully request that gifts of any kind be valued at a minimum of $25.

Congratulations to our winners of the seven prize bundles, donated graciously by many of our local businesses!!! The Laona Area Chamber of Commerce received a letter in the mail from a 4th grade elementary school student in Appleton, Wisconsin, who is conducting a research project on Laona and requested information about Laona from the Chamber. The student's letter can be viewed on the left. Our response to the student, including the information we sent to him, can be viewed in our reply letter here.
